Home-Made Raspberry Sorbet... (Dairy, Sugar and Fat Free)

This brilliant recipe I found in the March 2013 issue of the Weight Watchers magazine. It looked so good on the page that I had to try it and see if it tasted as good as it looked... I was a little sceptical at first, thinking that it would taste rather bland as most 'diet' food usually does! Well I happily ate my words together with this magnificent sorbet! It is so more-ish that even Sunny went for seconds!

This recipe is completely dairy free, sugar free and fat free! Yes my friends ALL NATURAL - Just fruit! I have never processed frozen bananas before and they turned so creamy and smooth, the same consistency as soft ice-cream... It's amazing what you can do with just fruit! I'm hoping to experiment with a few more fruit combinations to create more tasty sorbets... No more need for sugar filled ice-cream! Why when we can enjoy fresh fruit!

Raspberry Sorbet

2 large ripe bananas, peeled
300g frozen raspberries

Place the bananas in a snap-lock bag and freeze for 3 hours or until frozen. Process the bananas in a food processor until smooth. Add the raspberries and process until combined. Scoop the sorbet into serving bowls.

Enjoy!

  3. I'm going to make my first batch soon. Just waiting on some bananas to rippen. This sorbet is going to come in handy over the next few weeks.
